Kamlesh Bhatia
Kamlesh BhatiaPrincipal
Kamlesh (KB) has over 13 years of experience in service parts strategy. His primary areas of expertise are network optimization and inventory management. KB has also worked extensively on projects dealing with dealer terms & conditions redesign and market size and share studies.
Prior to joining Carlisle & Company in 2008, KB worked as a lead logistics engineer at Schneider Logistics working on transportation and network optimization strategies for automotive OEMs and tier 1 suppliers. KB holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from University of Mumbai, India.
Morene Bodner
Morene BodnerChief Financial Officer
A Carlisle & Company founding partner and CFO, Morene contributes more than two decades of experience in management consulting, finance, and accounting. Morene is an ardent environmentalist, and has served on a number of non-profit boards and town committees charged with protection of wetlands, rivers and open spaces. Morene is currently on the board of an animal rescue organization and also manages a family horse farm.

Prior to launching Carlisle & Company, Morene was director of corporate systems at Colgate-Palmolive. She joined Colgate-Palmolive after a management consulting position at Price Waterhouse, where she obtained her CPA, and a public accounting role at Arthur Andersen. Morene earned an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Buffalo and a BA from Syracuse University.

David Carlisle
David CarlisleChairman of the Board
David has been involved in the motor vehicle aftersales space since the early 1980s. He came into consulting via Colgate-Palmolive, where he headed up Colgate’s corporate Operations Research group. Over the years, he has worked with practically every motor vehicle OEM, and done so using a global footprint.

David’s imagination and curiosity are boundless and his work has meandered into virtually every aspect of the customer experience. David characterizes his career as having two parts. For the first two decades he worked hard and learned a lot. For the last two decades, David’s mission has been to give back and make a difference.

David grew up on a small rural farm in central New York and received a BA in fine art from the State University of New York at Oswego. He also holds an MS in Operations Research and Statistics and an MS in Urban and Environmental Planning from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Brian Crounse
Brian CrounseDirector of Product Development
Brian is Carlisle & Company’s Director of Data Analytics Product Development. In this role, he is applying his sixteen years of experience in consulting and benchmarking to build products that put Carlisle’s cumulative industry expertise to work. Current application areas include proscription of actions that help dealers retain customers, interpretation of complex telematics data, and a fast, detailed aftersales supply chain simulator. Brian’s passion is helping clients climb the Data-Information-Knowledge-Wisdom pyramid.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Dartmouth College and a Master of Science from MIT.

Dan Gommel
Dan GommelPartner
Dan leads Carlisle & Company’s Data Analytics portfolio and is based in Charlotte, NC. This practice leverages advanced analytical techniques and the industry’s disparate data to identify opportunities and create value in high-leverage business processes.

During his career at Carlisle, Dan has worked across sales and marketing, supply chain, and telematics areas. In sales and marketing, he has experience leveraging retail point-of-sale data, direct service marketing, strategic pricing, and dealer training. Dan has also led projects in network redesign and integration, warehouse operations, and global inventory management and deployment.

Dan has previously held positions at Credit Suisse. He holds an AB in Economics and Engineering from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.

Paul Gurizzian

Paul Gurizzian joined Carlisle & Company in 2001 and is based in Detroit, Michigan. As the CEO, he is responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm, with a focus on business development and project execution for service-parts operations at the Detroit Three OEMs and Commercial Truck OEMs. Paul’s primary areas of expertise include revenue management, marketing effectiveness, and large scale change management. He is also an expert in cost management and retail inventory management. Paul has held financial executive positions in a number of industries including motor vehicle, independent automotive aftermarket, aerospace, and energy.

Prior to joining Carlisle, Paul was an Assistant Controller at DTE Energy. He was Director of Finance at Honeywell’s European Aftersales Bendix brake business in Paris, and spent many years in automotive with positions at both GM and Chrysler. Paul holds a BS in Industrial Administration from the General Motors Institute (now Kettering University) and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Korin Hasagewa-John

Korin leads Carlisle & Company’s Operations Excellence portfolio, which is dedicated to helping our clients implement best practices throughout the supply chain. During his seven-year career at Carlisle, he has worked closely with many clients including Volkswagen, Volvo Trucks, and Caterpillar. Before heading Operations Excellence for Carlisle, he worked extensively in parts sales and marketing, with a particular focus on dealer sales strategies and terms and conditions.

Korin holds a BA from Tufts University in Economics and Classics with a focus on Greek and Roman literature. As a lifelong “car guy,” he sometimes finds it hard to believe that he gets paid to play with car parts.

Harry Hollenberg

Harry is a founding partner of Carlisle & Company. To our clients, Harry brings a wealth of management consulting experience in supply chain management and logistics. He draws on a background working with global leaders in the motor vehicle, retail distribution, and high-tech and transportation industries to develop effective, creative solutions for clients. Harry leads the Market Research practice; he is responsible for the management and execution of all Carlisle survey products for automotive, construction and agricultural equipment clients. Harry is an expert at aftermarket automotive suppliers and domestic and import automotive OEMs on strategic and tactical initiatives.

Previously, Harry was a Senior Associate with Mercer Management Consulting and an Industrial Engineer with Zayre Corporation. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.

Eliza Johnson

Eliza joined Carlisle & Company in 2010 and is based in Chicago, IL. Eliza has project experience spanning both sales and marketing and supply chain within automotive and heavy truck. Recent engagements include: supply chain metrics dashboard design, wholesale CRM marketing & management, wholesale collision growth, material returns program assessment, market size and share, new model parts benchmarking, and service lane technology assessment. Eliza is also involved in Carlisle’s Service Benchmark (NASB).

Eliza has a BS in Engineering Psychology from Tufts University and her MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Ellen Jortberg

Ellen has been with Carlisle for more than 16 years. She has extensive IT experience at all levels including IT infrastructure and services, information security systems and compliance. Prior to joining Carlisle, Ellen operated her own technology consulting firm for 15 years. As CIO, she leverages her 30 plus years of experience to ensure the company stays ahead of the IT power curve by implementing secure internal systems in support of our leading edge industry conferences as well as supporting the tools and data stores used by our consultants and analytics staff. She is a graduate of Wheaton College and has attended a wide range of additional education programs and conferences to enhance her subject matter expertise.
Karin Kliger

Karin has been with Carlisle & Company for nearly a decade and working in the motor-vehicle aftersales space even longer; first at Plasser & Theurer, the global leader in railroad maintenance machinery, and since her move across the pond at Carlisle. Here, she has immersed herself even further in the subject matter, spanning projects across the whole value chain such as parts pricing, inventory management, wholesale mechanical program design and implementation, and telematics and digital strategy design. Currently, she is responsible for the management of Carlisle’s Parts Benchmark Portfolio in Europe and our Service Benchmark delivering performance benchmark data and analyses, conferences, and focus days that provide insights into best-in-class industry practices.

Karin grew up in Austria and holds an MS in Export-Oriented Management from the FH Krems (Austria) and an MBA from the Joseph Schumpeter Institute (Austria).

Gene Metheny

During his career, Gene has worked with automotive OEMs, tier-one suppliers, and automotive aftermarket parts manufacturers on all aspects of the parts business from sales and marketing through supply chain.

At Carlisle & Company, Gene is responsible for all Heavy Equipment and Power Sports OEMs. He also heads up the Operations Excellence practice focused on excellence in warehouse operations, inventory management, and transportation. In addition, Gene is the lead partner for pricing system implementations and retail inventory management.

Prior to joining Carlisle, Gene was a senior manager at CGE&Y (formerly Ernst & Young). Here, he led the development of the firm’s service parts practice for the automotive industry, as well as multi-site ERP implementations and post-ERP implementation process and systems improvements. Gene’s background also includes positions at General Electric and Lockheed Martin. Gene holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla and an MS in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston.

Thomas Neumann

While at Carlisle & Company, Thomas has worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from vehicle brand positioning and service retention to parts pricing and market size and share modeling. More recently, he has focused on expanding Carlisle’s Market Research portfolio in Europe and around the globe.

Prior to joining Carlisle in 2002, Thomas was an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton (now Strategy & Technology Consulting). A German national, he worked with various European and US automotive clients on new model launches, dealer network restructuring, and used vehicle remarketing. Thomas holds a masters from Johannes-Gutenberg-University and an MBA from University of Texas at Austin.

Michael Sachs

Michael has been with Carlisle & Company since 1996. In his earlier years at Carlisle, he worked on projects in network optimization, inventory reduction, packaging and kitting operations, warehouse storage and process redesign, and lean operations. In recent years, Michael has overseen all of Carlisle’s global benchmarking activities.

Michael has always been a supply chain guy. Prior to joining Carlisle, he spent over a decade working in industry doing distribution center engineering and systems implementation. He also managed distribution center operations. Michael’s industry experience includes retail distribution, catalog order fulfillment, and manufacturing.

Michael earned a BS in Industrial Engineering from RIT and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Sanjay Seth

Sanjay has over 20 years of automotive and management consulting experience in North America and Europe. His background includes a broad array of leadership initiatives within the automotive fixed operations space, focusing on customer service excellence and parts sales growth. In particular, his expertise includes revenue growth strategies, pricing excellence, market sizing and assessment, service retention, organizational alignment, dealer terms and conditions, and supply chain initiatives.

Previously, Sanjay was a corporate strategy and operations consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. His background also includes engineering experience at Ford Motor Company in computer aided analysis, product design, and powertrain manufacturing. Sanjay holds an MBA in Strategy & Finance from Ross School of Business (Michigan), MS in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College, India.

Charlotte Tang

Charlotte Tang is a Principal at Carlisle & Company’s Boston office. Her project focus is on Carlisle’s global benchmarking activities, managing the data gathering process for the North America Parts Benchmark, Europe Parts Benchmark, North America Service Benchmark, South America Parts Benchmark, and North America Finished Vehicle Logistics Benchmark. Her other recent project work includes parts catalog research.
Chad Walker

Chad is a Principal who joined Carlisle & Company in 2012. While at Carlisle, Chad has supported and managed projects spanning all aspects of the aftersales business – from inventory management to connected vehicle strategies. Most recently, he has established himself as an expert in the automotive service space. He has worked closely with numerous import automotive brands to develop and implement innovative strategies for meeting ever-changing customer needs and expectations while maximizing sustainable profit.

A lifelong gearhead, Chad brings passion and enthusiasm to every client engagement. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Yale University and enjoys the analytical and critical thinking we face every day in the motor vehicle industry.
